As well as the variety of tours to Cape Kidnappers to see the world famous gannet sanctuary, there are also award winning eating places - cafes, restaurants and wineries, wine tasting, a variety of tours, passionate artists and craftspeople, beautiful gardens, great swimming beaches - both sea and river, relaxing walks, accommodation ... and even museums! It's a great way to spend a day or three! The trail starts in Clive (which is a five minute drive from Hastings, Napier or Havelock North) and covers the 12 kilometres to Clifton, passing through Haumoana and Te Awanga. Drive home via Haveock North along the scenic Tukituki River road. |
